DIT Strategic Campaign Moving From “Made in Britain & Northern Ireland” to “Made in the UK”

The first version of DIT’s new strategy campaign logo was seen in a series of local campaign events titled “Made in Britain & Northern Ireland”.

For example the “Made in Britain & Northern Ireland” event hosted by the Rt Hon Elizabeth Truss MP in Glasgow on 21st July 2021:

The Conservative MP said on Twitter:

Last night I hosted a ‘Made in Britain, Sold to the World’ event in Glasgow showcasing Scottish exports & discussing:

🌍 Boosting export-related jobs, that pay more and are more productive
🌎 Opportunities our trade deals are creating for 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
🌎 Our new UK Trade & Investment office in Scotland

The slogan of “Made in Britain & Northern Ireland” was presented in the backdrop and podium.

4 months later DIT announced the first ever International Trade Week on 21st October, then released event mediakit in early November. The campaign logo was replaced by “Made in the UK, Sold to the World” on the event page, and the national export strategy was eventually published on 16 Nov. 2021.

The original “Made in the UK, Sold to the World” campaign logo can be downloaded here. It’s been designed for the export campaign and not fully compatible with B2C scenario. For products labelling we recommend our “Made in the UK” mark.
